October 27, 2024 – – – Cory Hedgecock Motorsports invaded Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, Mississippi on October 25-26 for the 30th edition of the Coors Light ‘Fall Classic.’ On Friday night in the Super Late Model split-field program, Cory Hedgecock clicked off the fourth quickest time in Group A during qualifying prior to placing third in his heat race. After starting his 30-lapper from the inside of the fourth row, Cory was unfortunately an early retiree in the $3,000 to win contest and was officially paid for a twenty-first place showing.
At Whynot on Saturday evening, a whopping $20,000 first place prize was up for grabs in the ‘Fall Classic’ grand finale. Cory topped the speed charts in Group B during the qualifying session and later ran second in his heat race. The Loudon, Tennessee native then started eighth and finished ninth in the 60-lap headliner that was ultimately won by Tyler Erb.
The #23 team also entered the 604 Crate Late Model portion of the Coors Light ‘Fall Classic’ weekend at Whynot Motorsports Park. Cory timed in second fastest in his group during qualifying before running second in his heat race and nineteenth in the $5,000 to win main event.
