September 8, 2024 – – – From September 4-7, Cory Hedgecock Motorsports was in the pit area at the hallowed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. The busy week at the 1/2-mile, high-banked oval started on Wednesday night with a $20,000 payday on the line in a Castrol FloRacing Night in America Series shootout. Cory Hedgecock grabbed the third transfer spot through his heat race prior to starting the 50-lap main event from the outside of the ninth row. Cory was then able to pick off four competitors during the race en route to a fourteenth place showing.
The 54th edition of the ‘World 100’ then took center stage at the “Big E” – starting with a pair of $12,000 to win, split-field preliminary programs. On Thursday evening, Cory placed seventh in his Shootout race prior to advancing six spots during his 25-lap feature on his way to a thirteenth place effort. In a similar show on Friday, Cory secured a victory in his Shootout race before landing an impressive runner-up performance in his 25-lapper behind only victor Hudson O’Neal!
With a whopping $57,000 paycheck up for grabs in Saturday’s annual ‘World 100,’ Cory nabbed the second transfer position through his heat race behind only winner Bobby Pierce and later started the 100-lap crown jewel headliner from the outside of the fifth row. The Loudon, Tennessee star then enjoyed a great run during the most prestigious race of the year, as he crossed underneath the checkers in the sixth spot behind only ‘World 100’ victor Bobby Pierce, Dale McDowell, Jonathan Davenport, Tim McCreadie, and Devin Moran!
