September 26, 2020 - Cory Hedgecock wins Bowman 50 at Brownstown Speedway

Hedgecock took his E-Z-GO No. 23 Pace Performance/ Budget Transmissions/ Rocket Chassis/ Eagle Racing Engine entry into battle against a field of 38 Indiana Pro Late Models.

After laying down the fastest lap in his time trial group, Cory posted a heat race win to lock into the 50-lap main event. Following the invert, Hedgecock was positioned fourth on the feature grid. He dominated the second half of the race to record his ninth win of the season over Shelby Miles, Marty O’Neal, John Mayer Jr., and Tory Collins.

Drawing a stout field of 59 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series entries for the “Night Before the Jackson,” Cory came in 11th fastest in his time trial group before placing fifth in his heat. Needing a second-place finish or better in his B-Main, Hedgecock scored a runner-up finish behind Tanner English, which positioned him 24th on the feature grid.

With $10,000 on the line, Cory ran into electrical issues on his No. 23 Super Late Model before the start of the 40-lap main event, ending his night.

On Saturday for the 41st Annual Jackson 100, Cory came in fifth in his heat, giving him one final shot at the $15,000-to-win main event with a B-Main appearance. Locking in the Top 2, Hedgecock fell one spot short with a third-place outing.

September 12, 2020 - Hedgecock invited to Intercontinental Classic at Eldora
With the 50th annual World 100 getting postponed to 2021, Cory Hedgecock was one of 48 Late Models invited to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Thursday night to compete in the Intercontinental Classic. After coming one spot shy of a transfer position in his heat with a fifth place finish, Hedgecock streaked to a 12-lap consolation victory, which positioned him 19th on the starting grid for the opening night feature. Dropping one spot in the 30-lap affair, Cory logged a 20th place outing.

The following night for another $10,000-to-win preliminary feature, Cory slipped up two spots in his heat race, sending him into the B-Main for another shot at the A-Main. Needing to place third or better, Hedgecock fell short with a seventh place outing. (Zach Yost photo)

With preliminary results from Thursday and Friday setting the grid for the heat races on Saturday, Hedgecock came in seventh in his heat, giving him one final shot at the $50,000-to-win Intercontinental Classic with a B-Main appearance. Slated to start on the tail, Cory elected to scratch from the 15-lapper to save equipment.

September 6, 2020 - Cory Hedgecock attends World Championship at Cochran
Taking part in the Labor Day weekend special, Cory Hedgecock invaded Cochran Motor Speedway (Cochran, Ga.) on Saturday night for the Chevrolet Performance World Championship. Drawing a stout field of 55 Crate Racin’ USA entries for the two-day event, Hedgecock timed in fifth fastest in his qualifying group before placing fourth in his heat. He ended up scratching from his B-Main on Sunday for his final shot at the $20,000-to-win main event.
