May 27, 2019 - Cory Hedgecock Records Two-Win Memorial Day Weekend
Cory Hedgecock registered a pair of wins over the weekend. His accomplishments were headlined by a $4,000 triumph on Saturday night at I-75 Raceway in his Cushman No. 23 K&P Used Cars/ Hidden View Lake/ XR1 Rocket Chassis/ Eagle Racing Engine entry. He added an additional win in the Limited Late Model division on Friday night at Smoky Mountain Speedway.

His weekend victories brought his 2019 tally to eight.

“We got a win in the Limited Late Model on Friday night at Smoky Mountain Speedway, but gave away a Crate late Model win with a broken driveshaft on a rough track,” Cory noted. “On Saturday night we set a new track record in qualifying at I-75 Raceway and never looked back the rest of the night. This car is unreal right now. It has so much speed, and I just have to hold the wheel.

“Can’t thank everyone enough for busting their tails to help me.”

Kicking off the Memorial Day weekend, Cory Hedgecock invaded Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tennessee) on Friday evening, where he was pulling double duty in the Crate and Limited Late Model ranks.

In a field of 35 American Crate All-Star Series entries, Hedgecock registered the sixth-fastest time and backed it up with a second-place finish in his heat race. Earning the outside-front-row, starting position for the opening night feature, Cory led the opening two laps before a broken driveshaft forced him pitside, ending his night early.

In the Limited Late Model division, Hedgecock followed up the second-fastest time overall in qualifying with a 30-lap feature victory over Chase King, Jason Cardwell, Jordan Rodabaugh, and Ryan King. The win marked his seventh of the season.

1The following night brought Hedgecock to I-75 Raceway (Sweetwater, Tennessee) for the Topless Outlaws Series sanctioned, Tom Crass Memorial. After laying down a new track record in qualifying, Cory cruised to a Dash win, which positioned him on the pole for the A-Main.

Leading wire-to-wire, Hedgecock topped Matt Henderson, Heath Hindman, Jason Cardwell, and David Crabtree at the line to record his eighth win of the season. He pocketed a $4,000 payday for his dominant performance the 40-lap affair.

After taking Sunday off, Cory hopped behind the wheel of his brand-new Super Late Model for the Schaeffer’s Spring Nationals Series season finale at 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tennessee). With 28 cars on hand for the Scott Sexton Memorial, Hedgecock secured his spot into the $10,052-to-win finale with a third-place finish in his heat race. Starting in 14th, Hedgecock improved three spots in the 52-lapper to place 11th.

May 18, 2019 - Hedgecock Scores Flag-to-Flag Win at North Georgia
1Saturday night at North Georgia Speedway saw Cory Hedgecock remain undefeated on the newly-formed Topless Outlaw Dirt Racing Series (TODLRS).

He jumped to the lead at the drop of the green flag and never looked back en route to claiming the $2,500 payday in his Cushman No. 23 K&P Used Cars/ Hidden View Lake/ XR1 Rocket Chassis/ Eagle Racing Engines, Inc. entry. It was his sixth win of 2019.

“I knew the race was going to be won right off the start,” Cory commented. “I went down [into turn one] as far as I could and never looked back. From there I just kept my nose clean, and we were able to get another win. We’ve got a really busy weekend coming up, so right now we are making sure everything is ready for action. We’re excited to get out to multiple tracks this weekend and see a lot of great people and hopefully grab several wins.”

Hedgecock started his weekend with a victory in Jerry T Green's No. 14 Rocket XR1/ Eagle Racing Engine Late Model at Crossville Speedway (Crossville, Tennessee). He started third in the feature and charged to the lead with with six laps to go on his way to the victory.

On Saturday evening Cory Hedgecock was one of 29 Topless Outlaw Dirt Late Model Series (TODLMS) entries signed in at North Georgia Speedway (Chatsworth, Georgia) for the rescheduled event.

A runner-up performance in the dash, behind John Ownbey, positioned Hedgecock on the outside-front-row for the A-Main. Charging to the lead in the opening corner, Cory led wire-to-wire to capture his fifth win of the season over Ronnie Johnson, John Ownbey, Mike Weeks, and Brandon Williams. He pocketed a $2,500 payday for his dominant performance in the 40-lap affair.

May 3, 2019 - Cory Hedgecock Sweeps Topless Outlaws at Crossville
1Friday night found Cory Hedgecock in action at Crossville Speedway (Crossville, Tennessee) powering his Valley Transport #23 Crate Late Model. In a field of 31 Topless Outlaws Series entries, Hedgecock followed up the fastest time overall in qualifying with a Dash victory. Earning the pole position for the A-Main, Cory led flag-to-flag en route to his fourth win of the season and a $2,000 payday. John Ownbey, Jordan Rodabaugh, Ryan King, and Jason Trammell trailed him to the checkers.
