July 27, 2019 - 7th Place Finish with Southern Nationals at 411 Motor Speedway
Thursday night saw Cory Hedgecock make his first start of the season with the Schaeffer’s Southern Nationals at Crossville Speedway (Crossville, Tennessee) for the $3,500 top prize. Recording the third fastest time in his group, Hedgecock earned the 6th-starting position for the opening night feature. Bringing out the first caution of the race on the tenth lap, Cory was running in 5th when contact with another competitor dropped him back to a 15th place outing.

The following night at 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tennessee), Cory laid down the seventh fastest lap in his group before placing 3rd in his heat. With $10,000 on the line in the feature, Hedgecock gained three spots in the 53-lapper to place 7th.

On Saturday evening Hedgecock stopped at North Georgia Speedway (Blue Ridge, Georgia) for the Topless Outlaw Series sanctioned program. Earning the pole position for the $3,000-to-win A-Main via preliminary events, Cory was an early retiree from feature after getting collected with the wall.

The trip to Victory Lane was his 12th of the 2019 season.

“By the time the night was over we had accomplished our goal of winning the feature, but man it definitely took far more hustle and work than we had planned. A car spun in front of me in hot laps and left me with nowhere to go, and I smashed into him,” Hedgecock recounted. “My car had a ton of damage, but my crew along with Jesse Lowe and Ross White all busted their tails and got it back together in time for qualifying. From there we swept the rest of the night.

“I definitely want to thank everyone who pitched in to help get us back on track so fast. It was a challenge, but we got the job done.”

Cory Hedgecock invaded Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tennessee) on Tuesday night for the fourth round of the Steel Head Shootout Series.

He started his outing by sustaining considerable damage to his No. 23 after being collected in a hot lap incident. With the help of his crew and a few other racers, Cory was able to make repairs in time for qualifying and went on to record the fastest lap in a field of 21 entries.

Via his qualifying effort, he started on the pole for the feature event. Jumping out to an early race lead in the feature, Hedgecock ultimately soared to his 12th win of the season, which came over Kyle Courtney, Chase King, Jordan Rodabaugh, and Ryan King. He pocketed a $1,200 payday.

July 6, 2019 - Hedgecock Sweeps Topless Outlaw Show at I-75 Raceway
Wednesday night saw Cory Hedgecock in action at Wartburg Speedway (Wartburg, Tennessee) following the Topless Outlaws Series. With 26 cars registered in for action, Hedgecock secured his spot into the opening night feature with the third fastest lap in time trials. Holding his spot for all 40-laps, Cory scored a 3rd place finish behind Jordan Rodabaugh and Kenny Collins with Mike Weeks and Greg Martin rounding out the Top-5.

On Friday evening for the $3,000-to-win J. Paul Smith Memorial at Crossville Speedway (Crossville, Tennessee), Hedgecock landed a runner-up finish in the feature behind Brandon Williams with Jesse Lowe, Trevor Sise, and Jake Teague trailing them to the checkers.

1The following night, Hedgecock returned with the Topless Outlaws Series at I-75 Raceway (Sweetwater, Tennessee). He recorded fastest time overall in qualifying before cruising to a Dash victory. Earning pole position for the A-Main, Cory led wire-to-wire capturing his 11th win of the season and a $2,500 payday. Mike Weeks, Chase King, Austin Neely, and Jason Cardwell completed the Top-5 finishers.
