July 28, 2018 - Podium Finish With Durrence Layne Series at Blue Ridge
After Mother Nature wiped out Friday’s event at Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tennessee) shortly after qualifying, Cory Hedgecock followed the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Series to Blue Ridge Motorsports Park (Blue Ridge, Georgia) on Saturday for the $2,500 top prize. With 26 cars registered in for action, Hedgecock edged his way into the main event with the tenth fastest time overall in qualifying. Starting the feature in 10th, Cory passed seven cars in the 50-lap affair to place 3rd behind Ashton Wenger and Greg Martin with Andy Picklesimer and Jake Knowles completing the Top-5 finishers.

July 24, 2018 - 7th Place Finish With Southern Nationals at Boyd's Speedway
1Hopping behind the wheel of the Stanley and Sharon Shadden owned #9 Super Late Model, Cory Hedgecock followed the Schaeffer’s Oil Southern National Series to Boyd’s Speedway (Ringgold, Georgia) on Tuesday evening for the $3,500 top prize. In a field of 28 cars, Hedgecock logged the ninth fastest time in his qualifying group sending him into the B-Main. Jumping up one spot, Cory scored a 3rd place finish positioning him 16th on the starting grid for the feature. July 21, 2018 - Hedgecock Captures First Career Southern Nationals Victory; Wins Local Show at I-75 on Saturday
1Cory Hedgecock was one of 31 Super Late Models signed in at 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tennessee) on Tuesday night for the Schaeffer’s Oil Southern National Series sanctioned contest. Laying down the fastest time overall in qualifying, Hedgecock earned the pole position for the feature. Losing the top spot early, Cory overtook Michael Chilton on lap 15 to regain the lead. Holding off a hard-charging Eric Wells in the closing laps, Cory Hedgecock streaked to his 12th win of the season in the feature topping Wells, Michael Chilton, Brandon Overton, and Casey Roberts at the line. He was awarded a $3,500 payday for his first career Schaeffer’s Oil Southern National Series victory.  (Michael Moats photo)

July 3, 2018 - 2nd Place Finish at Talladega Short Track
On Tuesday evening Cory Hedgecock returned with the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Series at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Alabama) for the final round of the Salute to America Nationals. Registering the second fastest time in his qualifying group behind Sam Seawright, Hedgecock earned the 3rd-starting position for the main event. With $2,500 on the line, Cory gained one spot in the 50-lapper to place 2nd behind Jake Knowles with Chase Walls, Sam Seawright, and Will Roland completing the Top-5 finishers.
