September 30, 2017 - Hedgecock Ruled King at North Alabama Speedway
1 Friday night brought Cory Hedgecock to North Alabama Speedway (Tuscumbia, Alabama) for the two-day NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series sanctioned program. Drawing 28 Crate Late Models for the inaugural King of the Crate 60, Cory locked his spot into the A-Main on Saturday evening with a heat race victory. Rolling off 2nd, Hedgecock overtook pole-starter Jeremy Shaw on a restart in the opening laps. Slicing through lap-traffic late in the race, Cory held off a hard-charging Jake Knowles in the final circuits to capture his 25th win of the season and a $5,000 payday. Knowles, Ronnie Johnson, Grant Garrison, and Greg Wilhite rounded out the Top 5 finishers in to the 60-lap affair.

September 23, 2017 - Runner-up Finish in Alabama State Championships
1Cory Hedgecock traveled to East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Alabama) on Saturday night pulling double duty in the Crate and Limited Late Model divisions for the 46th annual Alabama State Championships. With a stout field of 47 Crate Late Models on hand, Hedgecock secured his spot into the $5,000-to-win A-Main with the third fastest time in his qualifying group. Rolling off 4th for the A-Main, Cory improved two spots in the 50-lap affair registering a 2nd place finish behind Mark Whitener with Chase Edge, Andrew Cole, and Rick Culpepper completing the Top 5 finishers.

In the Limited Late Model ranks, Cory logged the tenth fastest time in his qualifying group sending him into the B-Main. Transferring the Top 4 into the show, Hedgecock landed a 2nd place finish behind Kitt Sealy positioning him 20th on the starting grid for the A-Main. Losing one spot in the 50-lapper, Cory Hedgecock posted a 21st place outing.

September 19, 2017 - Cory Hedgecock Will Use the Month of October to Bring Awareness to Breast Cancer
Breast cancer directly and indirectly impacts millions of people in our great country each year. More than 300,000 new individuals are diagnosed with the vicious disease each year.

Odds are pretty good as you are reading this, you are nodding along that it has either impacted you or someone you know.

For the month of October, Cory Hedgecock is going to use his Cushman #23 Valley Transport/ Rocket Chassis XR1 Crate Late Model to bring awareness to the battle against breast cancer.

The team will have a place on their familiar #23 where names will be listed of people who are fighting breast cancer or have lost their lives in the battle.

“My team and I wanted to do something positive to bring additional breast cancer awareness to the racing community,” Hedgecock said. “It seems like every day you learn that someone you know is being impacted by breast cancer, and I just want to do what I can to salute these brave folks and to bring more awareness to the battle.”

September 16, 2017 - Cory Hedgecock Visits VMS for FASTRAK World Championship
1On Saturday night Cory Hedgecock was one of 71 Crate Late Models signed in at Virginia Motor Speedway (Jamaica, Virginia) for the FASTRAK Racing Series sanctioned World Championship. Sending the Top 2 out of the heats and into the main event, Hedgecock slipped back to a 6th place outing giving him one more chance at the $20,000-to-win A-Main with a B-Main appearance. Needing the place in the Top 2 to make the show, Cory dropped back to a 13th place finish ending his night early.

September 9, 2017 - Hedgecock Wins in Steelhead at 411 Motor Speedway
1After both of the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series sanctioned events slated for Friday and Saturday were postponed, Cory Hedgecock visited 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tennessee) on Saturday night competing in the Steelhead Late Model division. Following the third fastest lap in qualifying, Cory outran the 15-car field in the 30-lap feature to record his 24th win of the season. Jason Cardwell, Chase King, Trevor Sise, and Michael Courtney completed the Top 5 finishers. (

September 3, 2017 - Cory Hedgecock Wraps Up 525 Series at Dixie and Rome
1Kicking off the Labor Day weekend, Cory Hedgecock visited Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, Georgia) on Saturday evening for the Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series sanctioned opener. Timing in eleventh fastest in a field of 23 cars, Hedgecock locked into the 11th-starting position for the Down in Dixie 30 A-Main. Losing ten spots in the 30-lapper, Cory slipped back to a 21st place outing.

Saturday night the series wrapped up at Rome Speedway (Rome, Georgia) for the Hoosier Race Tire South 100. Earning the 22nd-starting spot for the $10,000-to-win feature via preliminary events, Hedgecock passed six cars in the 100-lap affair to place 16th.
