September 17, 2016 - Hedgecock Follows UCRA Series Over the Weekend
1Running with the United Crate Racing Alliance (UCRA), Cory Hedgecock headed to I-75 Raceway (Sweetwater, Tennessee) on Friday night for the $2,500-to-win A-Main. After laying down the 2nd fastest time in a field of 30 Crate Late Models, Hedgecock posted a 4th place finish in the main event after challenging for the lead several times. Cory trailed Tanner Works, Jake Teague, and John Ownbey across the finish line with Jimmy Elliott coming in 5th.

1The following night brought Hedgecock to Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tennessee) for another UCRA event along with a Southern All Stars show in his Super Late Model. Timing in fastest overall in a field of 32 cars, Cory scored a heat race win putting him on the pole for the main event. After losing the top spot early in the event, Hedgecock battled back on the high-side but eventually dropped out after making hard contact with the wall on lap 33. (Glen S Photo)

1During the Super Late Model portion, Hedgecock secured the 11th-starting position for the feature after timing in 11th fastest. Looking to break into the Top 10, Cory’s night was over after breaking a rocker arm.

September 10, 2016 - Cory Reels in Win Numer 18 at I-75 Raceway
1On Saturday night Cory Hedgecock returned to I-75 Raceway (Sweetwater, Tennessee), piloting his K&P Used Cars #23 Crate Late Model against a field of Steelhead Late Models. After posting the fastest time in qualifying, Hedgecock started on the pole for the feature event. Picking up his 18th win of the season, Cory was followed across the finish line by Jason Manley, Benjy Shaw, Paul Tims, and Andy Standridge.

September 3, 2016 - Bad Luck for Hedgecock Over Labor Day Weekend
1Kicking off the busy Labor Day Weekend, Cory Hedgecock traveled to Crossville Speedway (Crossville, Tennessee) on Friday competing in both his Crate and Super Late Model for the opening night of the Blue Collar Nationals. After qualifying 2nd fastest in a field of 19 Super Late Models, Hedgecock rolled off 2nd for the main event. Suffering a flat-tire on the second lap, Cory fell back to a 18th place outing. Starting in 5th in the Crate feature, Cory ran into more trouble sending him back to a 15th place finish.

1On Saturday night Cory headed to I-75 Raceway (Sweetwater, Tennessee) running in the Steelhead Late Model division. Breaking a dry sump belt early in the night, Cory decided to withdraw from the rest of the weekend events.
