October 29, 2016 - Cory Hedgecock Wins Reece Memorial at Boyd's
1Behind the wheel of the Brucebuilt Performance #23 Crate Late Model, Cory Hedgecock visited Boyd's Speedway (Ringgold, Georgia) on Saturday night for the Craig Reece Memorial. Drawing 47 entries for unsanctioned event, Hedgecock earned the pole for the main event following fastest time overall in qualifying and a dash victory. After losing the lead in the early stages of the feature, Cory regained the top spot late in the 35-lapper to capture his 20th victory of the season and a $3,500 payday. Jeff Smith, Ronnie Johnson, Jimmy Elliott, and John Owenby completed the Top 5 finishers.

October 22, 2016 - Hedgecock Wins Night One at TST, NeSmith Dirt Late Model Championship, and Rookie of the Year Award
1Looking to wrap up the NeSmith points title, Cory Hedgecock traveled to Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Alabama) on Friday for the two-day NASCAR weekend. With 50 Crate Late Models signed in, Hedgecock timed in fastest in his group putting him on the pole of the $2,000-to-win A-Main. Jumping out to a commanding lead early in the main event, Cory held off a late race rally on lap 30 to capture his 19th win of the season over Ronnie Johnson, Jason Hiett, Jake Knowles, and Riley Hickman.

1Returning on Saturday evening for the $2,500-to-win A-Main, Hedgecock timed in 2nd fastest in his group earning him the 4th-starting position for the feature. Breaking into a podium finish, Cory landed a 3rd place spot behind Jason Hiett and Ronnie Johnson with Adam Gauldin and Chase Edge rounding out the Top 5.

With his performance over the weekend, Cory clinched the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series points title and also claimed the NeSmith Rookie of the Year award.

October 15, 2016 - Cory Hedgecock Competes in Showdown on the Coast at GIS
1Competing in the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series sanctioned weekend, Cory Hedgecock headed to Golden Isles Speedway (Brunswick, Georgia) on Friday for the two-day Showdown on the Coast. In a field of 32 Crate Late Models, Hedgecock edged his way into the main event on Saturday evening with a 5th place finish in his heat. Earning the 15th-starting position for the $5,000-to-win A-Main, Cory ran into trouble late in the race after coming into contact with another car. After returning to the pits to make some repairs, Hedgecock was an early retiree from the feature after rejoining the field from the tail.

October 8, 2016 - Hedgecock Competes in Street Stock Fall 40 at Magnolia
1Piloting the #25H Street Stock, Cory Hedgecock invaded Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) on Friday night for the Fall 40 Street Stock Championship. After timing in fastest overall in a field of 39 cars, Hedgecock landed a runner-up finish behind Jay Burchfield in his heat locking his spot into the main event on Saturday night. Rolling off 5th, Cory slipped back to a 12th place finish when the checkers flew.

October 1, 2016 - Bad Luck for Hedgecock Continues at I-75
1On Saturday night Cory Hedgecock made the short trip to I-75 Raceway (Sweetwater, Tennessee) looking to get his Crate Late Model dialed in. After laying down the fastest time in qualifying, Hedgecock was leading the A-Main until running into more mechanical issues. Losing both his rear-end and transmission, Cory was forced to retire from the feature.
