August 24, 2024 – – – Cory Hedgecock, of Loudon, Tennessee, recorded his second feature victory of the 2024 campaign on Friday night, August 23 at the nearby I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, Tennessee! Piloting Jon Ellison’s brand-new #21J BMF 604 Crate Late Model, Cory started off the evening by knocking down the fourth quickest time overall during the qualifying session.
Following a heat race triumph, Cory started the unsanctioned main event from the pole position. He then led each of the 30 circuits during the contest to bag the $3,000 first place prize money ahead of runner-up Randy Weaver, Booger Brooks, Chip Brindle, and William Blankenship. Full results from Friday at I-75 Raceway can be accessed by pointing your web browser to www.i-75racewaypark.com.
“I really appreciate and have to thank Jon (Ellison) for giving us the chance to shake down his new BMF racecar,” quoted Hedgecock earlier today. “It was fast right off the trailer at I-75 – winning the heat and leading the entire feature. Racing his stuff allowed us to keep our equipment fresh since we have a very busy stretch of racing in front us. I can’t wait to get out to Farley, Iowa and Eldora this weekend and then of course the World 100.”
Cory Hedgecock Motorsports will return to dirt-slinging action on August 30-31 at 300 Raceway in Farley, Iowa. The XR Super Series will sanction the 47th Annual ‘Yankee Dirt Track Classic,’ which will start this Friday with a $15,000 to win preliminary event. Saturday’s finale at the Hawkeye State venue will then shell out a whopping $50,000 payday. Watch every lap of competition from Farley LIVE on www.xrevents.plus. The 1/2-mile, high-banked speedplant will play host to the 16th edition of the ‘Baltes Classic’ and this year’s version of the race will be sanctioned by the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series. The kick off to a huge ‘World 100’ week at the “Big E” will pay $5,000 to the winner and will be broadcast LIVE to subscribers of FloRacing.
