March 3, 2025 – – – The #23v team made the trek to Georgia and South Carolina from February 28-March 2 for a trio of special events. On Friday night in the Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series opener at Swainsboro Raceway in Swainsboro, Georgia, Cory Hedgecock ran fourth in his B-Main prior to winding up twentieth in the final rundown of the $7,553 to win main event. With a $10,053 payday up for grabs in Saturday’s Spring Nationals show at Senoia Raceway in Senoia, Georgia, Cory earned Fast Time honors in qualifying, won his heat race, and later placed a strong fourth in the 53-lapper behind only victor Cody Overton, Ethan Dotson, and Ashton Winger!
On Sunday afternoon, the annual running of ‘March Madness’ took center stage at Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, South Carolina. The unsanctioned daytime event boasted a $15,000 first place prize. Cory timed in eighth fastest in Group B during qualifying and later grabbed the third transfer spot through his heat race. After starting the 50-lap headliner from the outside of the sixth row, the Loudon, Tennessee ace was able to climb up inside of the top ten to earn a steady tenth place performance.
